Serengeti National Park Lodges – A luxury in the wild.

The Serengeti National Park is one of the oldest game park located in Northern Tanzania. The park is famous for hosting the greatest spectacle on earth – the great migration of wildebeest (about 1.5 million) and zebra (about 250,000). The population of other animals including The Big 5, Nile crocodile, honey badger and over 300 species of birds are also very impressive and worth checking out.

The park is bordered to the North by Kenya where it is continuous with the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, to the southeast is the Ngorongoro Conservation, to the southwest lies Maswa Game Reserve, to the west is Ikorongo and Grumeti Game Reserves and to the Northeast is the Loliondo game control area. Together these areas form the Serengeti ecosystem.

The park is divided into three sections namely; The Serengeti plains made of endless Savannah grass dotted with some acacia and a huge population of wildlife. The western corridor made up of Grumeti River and dense forest home to the Nile crocodile and hippos. The Northern Serengeti which runs up to the River Mara, the border of Kenya where the migration to the Maasai Mara happens in July-August.

The Serengeti is large with various places to visit depending on the time of year. Hence, it is essential to plan well and know where you will be staying during this period. The park has various accommodations available ranging from luxury lodges to mobile camps.

These lodges all look amazing. Do you have a price guide post on your blog? I would be really interested to check it out. Do you have an email list? I would also like to join that.

    Thanks!
