Zanzibar Island Destinations in Tanzania
Visiting an island along the ocean is always considered by many a dream vacation. Waking up to the ocean breeze with waves hitting up the shores always bring out another side of a person not seen in everyday life. This is why most people choose their honeymoon destination to be near the ocean and more so on an Island. The feeling of being isolated from the rest of humanity brings about some serenity.
In East Africa, we have holiday destinations in Zanzibar, Tanzania that is rarely talked about but is considered a good choice for couples whether on honeymoon or just celebrating their love. The beauty of Zanzibar is that it is affordable but still provides a good island getaway just like other luxury islands.

This is quite a coincidence because Zanzibar is the place in the whole world I am most curious about. It sounds so exotic and I have actually check it out on the web.
The places you have shown in your post look absolutely idealic and I particularly like the sound and look of the Zawadi Hotel.
Which time of year is the best time to visit? Does it have a rainy season?
This is the best of Zanzibar, is there an area that should not be visited?
Thanks for a very informative review of this tropical paradise!
Glad you found it informative. You should try it out you will not be disappointed. Most of the hotel have one or two distinctive unique features so it depends on your taste.
Well the beach weather is an all year round weather though in March-May is the rainy season the rest of the months are good months the weather is always constant.
I have highlighted the best in terms of luxury and comfort, some are private beach or not so crowded beach. There is the public beach area side which tends to be crowded plus a lot of traders selling their craft invading your privacy. Not really a bad area but you have to expect a lot disturbance.
Oh how I would love to get away when I read about these wonderful locations! I will definitely have to try to make way to one of these locations at some point in my life. The Zanzi Resort sounds like it would be my first choice as I would love the privacy. Do you have a favorite or two off of your list? Thanks for sharing these beautiful locations that we can get away to!
Yes it is always a dream to visit such places and when your pocket allows, why not! You only leave once in the earth hence make the best out of it. My favorite are The Palms and Zawadi Hotel in that order. Hope to visit all of them at different times of my life in the long run.
Oh I want to go so badly. My husband and I are planning a trip sometime this year. I would love to go somewhere exotic like this. Thanks so much for the info. I will certainly add this to our list of possibilities.
Wish me luck!
Wow Wendy, i wish you the best as you plan your trip and hope all your plans are fulfilled. Zanzibar is a great choice you will not be disappointed keep it in your list till the right moment.
